Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance
For Immediate Release
The Amelia’s Cars & Community presented by Griot’s Garage offers a day of family fun while making a positive local impact
AMELIA ISLAND, FL., January 27, 2022 – Hagerty is proud to announce a renewed focus on philanthropic efforts around The Amelia. Saturday’s recently named Cars & Community program, a unique day of family-friendly automotive fun, will include expanded Cars & Caffeine™, Concours d’Lemons and RADwood displays and the event’s first-ever Kids Zone. This innovative approach provides an opportunity to expand notable donations to deep-rooted charities in the Jacksonville area. Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance ticket includes entry into the Cars & Community event.

Saturday’s expanded activities will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. As part of the new Cars & Community experience, the highly anticipated Cars & Caffeine will be accompanied by the “totally awesome” 80’s and 90’s cars of RADwood, the fan-favorite celebration of the wonderfully odd, truly unique, and often unexpected courtesy of the Concours d’Lemons, and the fun-for-all ages Kids Zone. Tickets and more information are available at AmeliaConcours.com.

Hagerty will provide local high school and college automotive programs and clubs with complimentary Cars & Community tickets for students and teachers. School administrators, teachers and professors are invited to contact Chris Brewer at cbrewer@hagerty.com for more information.

Another key component of The Amelia is the focus on charitable giving. Over the past 26 years, The Amelia has donated more than $4 million to deserving and praiseworthy charities from Florida's First Coast and beyond. For 2022, The Amelia is pleased to continue partnering with:
  • Spina Bifida of Jacksonville, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the birth defect spina bifida and its effects.
  • Community Hospice & Palliative Care, The Amelia’s founding charity dating back to 1996 cares for hundreds of terminally ill children and adults in North Florida each year regardless of their ability to pay.
  • Shop with Cops in Nassau County and in Fernandina Beach, holiday season charities designed to help underprivileged children in both areas.
“Our goal with The Amelia is to take everything about this first-class event and make it even bigger and better, and that includes the scope of its charitable work,” said McKeel Hagerty, chairman of The Amelia. “We are proud to continue working with our long-standing local partners - Spina Bifida of Jacksonville, Community Hospice & Palliative Care and Shop with Cops - and excited to expand the event’s outreach even further.”

In addition to The Amelia’s tradition of giving, the economic impact to the greater Amelia Island area is also noteworthy. Despite world-wide travel restrictions in 2021, the internationally awarded show provided an estimated $26.4 million in revenue for local businesses, making The Amelia a highly anticipated staple in the community.¹

Every ticket purchased for Sunday’s The Amelia Concours d’Elegance automatically includes complimentary admission to Cars & Community, helping to provide additional resources to the local community.
